Every now and again I catch the beginning of Iron Chef on Food Network, and man, that is one weird show. The original Japanese version, anyway; I haven’t seen Iron Chef America.

Iron Chef.. Frugal Gourmet.. after watching an episode of Good Eats I’ve decided I’ll call that guy "the MacGuyver Chef"
The American version looses some of the charm of the show. My wife and I enjoy Iron Chef simply from the sheer absurdity of it all. My favorite is the "ultra conservative" cooking faction who dislikes the Iron Chef because his cuisine is too "libral" 🙂
Good Eats is awesome. And Iron Chef, even though it’s highly absurd, is fun to watch.
